Sisters Oral Histories

Oral histories are an important facet of the archives; giving context and meaning to archival records. The Archives is slowly starting an oral history program in conjunction with the communications team.

As part of the 200th anniversary the Building Peace Podcast tells the story of the Kentucky Dominicans, the first congregation of Dominican religious women in the United States, as well as the stories of the seven congregations who came together with the Kentucky Dominicans to form the Dominican Sisters of Peace. If you are interested in participating in the oral history program please email the archives staff at archives@oppeace.org and we will contact you to set up a meeting
